free-field with the unit standing on a reflective base in accordance to ISO 11201 standard. The
noise levels can be several dB(A) higher in a room with hard reflective walls.
7.2
Outdoor installation
Consider the following when installing the unit outdoors:
•
Cover the top of the unit to protect it from snow, rain or falling debris.
•
Avoid placing the unit against a wall directly exposed to the sun.
7.3
Compressed air installation
Requirements
For air consumption, quality and maximum and minimum pressure, see
‘Table 4-1: Technical data’.
NOTE!
The specified air consumption of the unit is limited to the short operation of the start-up
valve.
As new pipes may contain dirt, particles or debris, the compressed air pipe are to be blown clean
before connecting the unit.
The enclosed compressed air filter must be installed to ensure the reliable and safe operation of
the unit. The compressed air valve vents the remaining pressure of the unit.
NOTE!
Take necessary measures to avoid water or humidity in the compressed air when the unit
is installed in cold environments.
NOTE!
If antifreeze additives are used, use them continuously. Once added, the removal of
antifreeze additive can cause the pneumatic components to malfunction.
Installation
Connect a compressed air supply to the inlet, see Figure 3, item 7, and Section ‘5.1 Connections’.
Connect the vacuum meter, Figure 3, item 15 and Section ‘5.1 Connections’.

Before start-up
The vacuum unit and any auxiliary options have been tested before delivery and all their
functions checked. A test report accompanies each unit.
Ensure the following before the initial start-up:
•
Optional: The maintenance switch is installed.
•
The installation room has ventilation openings (if used indoors), see
Section ‘7.1 Indoor installation’
•
Dust collector, duct and valves at the work sites are connected.
•
Exhaust air is ducted away from the installation (if used indoors).
•
Make sure the exhaust duct is protected from rain and snow.
•
Make sure the exhaust duct is fitted with a grid so no foreign objects can get into the duct.
•
Compressed air supply is permanently fitted.
•
All electrical connections have been correctly made as in Figures 6-9.
