Setting Gain
The camera can adjust the analog gain (x1 to x17.8 in 8 steps) and the digital gain.
As shown in the figure below, increasing the gain setting increases the gradient of the
camera
’s response curve and results in a higher camera output for a given amount of
light. Analog gain can be changed by sending
the ”gax” command. Digital gain can be
changed by sending the
“gdx” command.

Gain and noise values are proportionally related.
Adjust the amount of gain in accordance with the requirements of your camera
system.
