• If the unit should shut off and needs to be
reset, the problem which caused the unit
to shut down first needs to be located and
corrected.
• To reset the timer, turn the main power supply
to the unit off, then back on, the unit will start
up again.
ANTI-BACKUP SPROCKET FUNCTION
The Stir-Rite III has a rachet type anti-backup
sprocket attached to one of the drive motor chain
gears. As the machine advances around the bin,
the anti-backup sprocket rotates allowing the
locking lever to drop and catch the cog on the
sprocket.
This assures that the unit only travels in the
direction its intended for. Should the unit
malfunction, the anti-backup sprocket will stop
the unit from advancing in the opposite direction.
This is also useful if the unit needs to be serviced
or repaired and a ladder is placed against the
unit. If it is necessary to advance the unit in the
opposite direction of travel, raise the locking
lever so it clears the gear cogs and move the unit
accordingly. See Figure 54.

STALL TIMER (OPTIONAL) ADJUSTMENT
NOTE:
Verify proper adjustment and operation at
installation & initial equipment startup.
If adjustment of the micro-switch actuator be-
comes necessary, refer to Figure 57:
• Turn power
off
at the disconnect box.
• Loosen the bolts securing the micro-switch
plate and pull the switch away from the swivel
block until the switch roller has no contact with
the swivel block.
• Rotate the swivel block until the switch roller
is directly above the peak on one of the cogs.
• With the roller positioned over the peak, push
the switch plate “in” until the micro-switch
clicks, and then move “in” an additional 1/16”
(1.5 mm) and tighten the nuts.
• Verify the switch release prior to “valley”
position.
NOTE:
The switch MUST be released at the valley
positions around the cog.
