5. As soon as the Stir-Rite III reaches track level,
position the track rollers onto the track so that one
of the rollers is above a track support bracket.
It may be necessary to position a ladder near the
unit during the assembly process, to prevent the
unit from rolling or jumping off track, wrap a heavy
gauge wire around
each
roller and the track.
6. Attach the two (2) Safety Plates to the bottom of
the drive cluster bracket. Fasten each safety plate
using one (1) 1/2-13 x 1 1/4” bolt, lock washer and
nut (See Fig. 44).
The safety plates will mount below each roller and
will be installed on top of the bracket lip as shown
in Fig. 44 below.
7.
ATTENTION:
The height of the beam at the center
of the bin must be slightly higher than at the bin
wall
since the bin roof will pull down slightly
under the load of the stirring augers.
Proper adjustment is 1/8” per foot of beam length.
Example: a beam for a 24’ bin is 13’ long so it would
be 1 5/8” higher at the center (13” X 13 ft = 1.63”).
You may also check this with a level; if a 30” level
is held level on the beam, and the bin wall end of
the beam was lowered, there would be 5/16” of
clearance between the bottom of the level and the
beam.
8. After the Stir-Rite III is in the proper position, insert
a chain through the hole in each of the hanger
brackets and position a chain link into the adjust-
ment slot.
When both chains are adjusted equally, the pres-
sure from the center hatch winch can be slacked,
but do not disconnect the cable at this time.
Any extra length of chain should be tied into a knot
and the S-hooks connected to the load bearing
chain.

If the Bracket Lip Interferes
with Hatch Closing, the Brack-
ets may be Turned Around.
When not using the Lip as
Part of Support, all Bolts
Must
be used for Mounting
Position Chains in Adjustment Slot
Until the Unit Hangs Level. When Both Chains are Equally Ad-
justed, Pressure from the Center Hatch Winch can be Slacked
(do not disconnect the cable at this time).
The unit needs to be higher at the center of the bin, than at the
bin wall as referenced in Step 7 above.

HANGING THE STIR-RITE III
•
Do Not hang the unit by the S-Hooks alone, they
will not hold the weight of the unit.
