Disassembly and Reassembly 3-15
Speakers
Use the following procedure to remove the speakers.
1.
Remove the keyboard, front cover assembly, and top cover assembly from the system.
2. Locate the two speakers in the upper left corner and upper right corner inside the system.
Locating the speakers
A – Speaker C – Connector P19
B – Connector P18
3.
Disconnect the speaker cables from connector P18 and connector P19 on the main board.
4.
Lift the speakers out of the system.
Main Board, Fan/Heat Plate, Modem Board, and CMOS Battery
Use the following steps to remove the main board, modem board, and CMOS battery.
1.
Remove the keyboard, front cover assembly, top cover assembly, hard disk drive, and PC
card assembly from the system.
2. Disconnect the LCD panel cable from connector P2 on the main board.
