PowerMate Pro150 System
5-1
Installing and Configuring
System Board Options
5
This chapter describes the following:
•
Jumper block locations and functions
•
Procedures to remove and install optional components
•
Information about replacing the battery.
Before You Begin
•
Be sure to do each procedure in the correct order.
•
The procedures (and warnings) for removing and reinstalling the
system cover are assumed to precede all other procedures described in
this chapter. Chapter 4 tells how to remove and install the system
cover.
•
Set up an equipment log to record the system model and serial
numbers, all installed options, and other information about the system.
If you need this information, it will be easier to consult the log than to
open up and examine the system.
•
You will need a Phillips screwdriver (#2 bit), a medium flat-bladed
screwdriver, and a jumper removal tool, such as a pair of fine needle-
nosed pliers. We recommend that you use an antistatic wrist strap and
a conductive foam pad when working on the system.
