Solving Problems

The first part of this chapter helps you identify and solve problems that
might occur when the system is in use. The second part lists error code
messages that might display.
Resetting the System
There are two ways to reset the system:
•
Press <Ctrl + Alt + Del>
•
Cycle the system power. To do this:
1. Press the power on/off button to turn off system power.
2. Wait at least 20 seconds.
3. Press the power on/off button to turn on system power. The
system powers up and immediately begins the power-on self test
(POST).
Resetting the system:
•
Clears the system memory
•
Restarts the power-on self test (POST)
•
Reinitializes all peripherals
•
Loads the operating system
