Taking Your System Apart
Installing a 5.25-inch Device
8. Observe the precautions in “Before You Begin.”
9. Remove the bezel.
10. Remove the snap-in EMI shield from the desired 5.25-inch bay by
pushing the tab on the left side to the right and pulling the shield
forward (Figure 4-11, A). Save the shield in case you need to replace it
later.
11. If the device will be accessible from the front, release the tabs securing
the panel to the bezel (Figure 4-11, B). Remove the filler panel.

Note
If you are installing a device that is not accessible from the
front, do not remove the plastic filler panel.
When removing a plastic filler panel, be careful not to break
the panel or its tabs. Save all EMI shields, filler panels, and
screws for reuse if necessary.
