Check that the cable connecting from the rear of the
CD-ROM drive to the system board CD audio connector
is in place and secure.
The CD-ROM does not play music CDs
See “CD Player” in Chapter 6, for further information
on playing music CDs.
Speaker Problems
Check the following problems to see the possible cause and
solution.
No sound from the speakers
Check that the speaker power is on. Verify that all
speaker cable connections are correct and secure.
Speaker volume is too low
Adjust the volume control on the speaker. If the volume
is still too low, adjust the volume through the system
software. See “Audio Mixer” in Chapter 6.
Sound is only coming from one speaker
Balance the speaker output by adjusting the balance in
the sound software. See “Audio Mixer” in Chapter 6.
Microphone Problems
Check the following problem to see the possible cause and
solution.
You get no response from the microphone
Check that the microphone is connected to the
microphone in connector on the back of your system.
Adjust the microphone (MIC) level through sound
software.
