3-16 Disassembly and Reassembly

Front LCD Cover Removal

Remove the front LCD cover to access the following components:

power button assembly

logo plate assembly

speaker assembly

operation board assembly

brightness button assembly

LCD panel.

Remove the front LCD cover as follows.

1.

Close all applications, shut down the operating system, turn off system power, and unplug
the AC power adapter and power cord from the power source and the back of the system.

2.

Turn off and disconnect all peripherals.

3.

Using a flat-head screwdriver, pry off the LCD front cover. Start by carefully prying
between the bottom edges of the front and rear covers. Carefully pull the front LCD cover
off the unit.
