Redundant power supply
The N8181-54F power unit is shipped in the redundant power configuration.
To use N8181-54F as the redundant power supply, install it in the Device Expansion Unit
without any modification.
Installation
Install N8181-54F in the following procedure. See the section "Preparing for
Installation and Removal" to prepare.
1.
Make preparation according to the description in page 26.
IMPORTANT:
Turn off the powers of the NEC Express
Servers and that of the Device Expansion Unit. Before the
top cover can be removed, the power cord must be removed
from the Device Expansion Unit. Then disconnect all the
cables from the Device Expansion Unit. Before the top cover
can be removed, the power cord must be removed from the
Device Expansion Unit
.
2.
Remove the top cover.
3.
Remove the AC inlet dummy panel from the rear face of the Device Expansion
Unit.
