Chapter 2 Preparations
(a) When using on-board RAID Controllers (LSI Embedded MegaRAID
TM
)
Change jumper switch setting as shown below.
Jumper pins on motherboard (SWRAID)
Change jumper setting to 2-3 (Enabled).
[When using 2.5-inch Hard Disk Drive]
Backplane for 2.5-inch Hard Disk Drive (provided with 2.5-inch HDD cage) (J7)
Change jumper setting to 1-2 (Onboard SATA controller).
[When using 3.5-inch Hard Disk Drive]
No setting other than the jumper pin on the motherboard is required.
After that, configure the RAID System using LSI Software RAID Configuration Utility.

Tips
If you use the EXPRESSBUILDER DVD supplied with the server for setup, the
RAID System is automatically configured. Or, you intend to install Windows OS,
OS also can be installed automatically and seamlessly.
