Upgrading Your Server  9-21

Removal

Remove the 3.5-inch device in the following procedure.

 

1. 

Shutdown the system and press the POWER switch to turn off the power.

 

2. 

See the section "Preparing for Installation and Removal" described earlier to prepare.

 

3. 

Unlock the front bezel with the security key, and remove the front bezel.

 

4. 

Remove a screw and pull the device with tray out from the 3.5-inch device bay.

 

5. 

Disconnect the SCSI cable and power cable from the device, and attach the connector
covers to them.
