Disassembly and Reassembly

Installing a PCI Option Board

1. 

Remove the system front bezel and top cover as described earlier in this
chapter.

2. 

Ensure the server is powered down and the ac cable is disconnected.

3. 

Ensure the LED located on the PCI I/O board is OFF.

4. 

Tag and disconnect any cables attached to option boards already installed.

5. 

Grasp each side of the frame of the PCI I/O board and pull upwards to
disconnect and remove it from the system board. See figure 4-23.
