Disconnect the CD-ROM/diskette signal and voltage cables connected to
these devices. See Figure 4-59.When removing the diskette signal cable, you
must first push up on the cable lock (A) before pulling the ribbon cable (B)
out of the connector. Disconnect the CDROM signal cable (C) and the
voltage cable (D).

Partially remove the CD-ROM/diskette devices from the peripheral bay by
pushing in on the drive rail clips and then by pulling the device partially out
of the bay (Figure 4-60).

Remove and tag all cables connected to the SCSI backplane.
10.
Remove the two thumbscrews securing the SCSI backplane to the system
chassis. See Figure 61, A.
