Off-Hook Signaling
Off-Hook Signaling helps important callers get through.
When you are busy on a call, an audible Off-Hook Signal indicates that another caller is trying to get through to you. If it's an
important call, you can use other system features (such as Hold or Park) to process your active call and then answer the waiting
call.
Off-Hook Signaling for Outside Calls
While using your handset, Off-Hook Signaling from an outside call can be either Camp-On tones or muted Off-Hook Ringing.
You can press
VOLUME
up or down to adjust the volume of the Off-Hook Ringing. See Call Waiting / Camp-On on page 42
for more.
While you are using Handsfree, Off-Hook Signaling from an outside call is limited to Camp-On tones.
Off-Hook Signaling for Intercom Calls
While you are on a handset call, you can receive either Camp-On tones or Voice Over from a co-worker calling you on the
Intercom. To Camp-On, your caller pushes
Camp On

). To Voice Over, your caller pushes

Vovr
). If you
are on a Handsfree call, you can receive only Camp-On tones. Off-Hook Ringing for Intercom calls is not available. See Voice
Over on page 186 for more.
Off-Hook Signaling for Hotline Calls
You have a separate
Menu
option to control Off-Hook Signaling for calls from a Hotline partner that pressed their Hotline
key to call you. The Off-Hook Signaling choices are the same as for Intercom calls (Camp-On or Voice Over), but you set
them up separately. If your Hotline partner dials directly (instead of pressing their Hotline key), your keyset uses the normal
Intercom caller setting, not the Hotline setting.
Setting Your Off-Hook Signaling Options
To set up the Off-Hook Signaling options at your keyset:
