Telnet to the server and check its utilization
•
ping the server to check the response time
Historian Graphs Do Not Display
Possible Causes
•
Historian process have failed
•
Communications Timeouts value is too low
•
Historian data file is corrupted
•
Console and server incompatibility in data messages
User Troubleshooting Procedure
•
Verify appropriate console and server versions are compatible
•
Increase the Communications Timeouts/Retry option and retry History graph display
•
On UNIX server, verify all ldsm process, particularly Historian, are still running
•
Stop and restart the ldsm server process, then redisplay the History graph
•
Check the UNIX Server Manager log for problems with the Historian process
