If so, continue as follows:
a. Select “Modem Init String” and click the right mouse button.
b. Select EDIT.
c. Delete the
&F
characters in the Edit DMI String dialog box and click OK.
Out-of-band Update
To flash the firmware out-of-band, proceed as follows:
1. In the SMB Administration group, double-click on “Perform SMB Firmware Flash.”
You will be prompted for the location of the firmware image file on the console. The default
location is \smm32\pred4.bin.
Note: You can double-click on the “SMB Firmware Flash Percent Complete” attribute to
view a graph displaying the percentage of the flash that is complete.
2. When the firmware flash is complete, select “SMB Configuration” to verify that the
firmware version number is greater than 01.0.11.
3. Check the “Modem Init String” attribute to see if it contains the characters
&F
.
If so, continue as follows:
a. Select “Modem Init String” and click the right mouse button.
b. Select EDIT.
c. Delete the
&F
characters in the Edit DMI String dialog box and click OK.
