2.1.10. INSTALLING ACCESSORIES
MV Agusta provides a range of accessories spe-
cially designed for your vehicle. Always select
your accessories with careful consultation with
your MV Agusta dealer to insure that the most
appropriate accessories are selected. It is essen-
tial that these accessories are installed only by an
MV Agusta dealer.
WARNING: Use only MV Agusta original
accessories. The use of non-genuine
accessories can make the vehicle
unsafe by reducing its handling, stability
or the effectiveness of the braking sys-
tem. For this reason, possible damages
caused by the installation of any non-
genuine accessory are not covered by
the warranty.
A ny connecting brackets and anchor bolts
must be carefully checked after the assembly, to
ensure a stable framework and an unmovable
support for the accessory.
WARNING
Improperly installed accessories can
result in an accident that could lead to
serious personal injury or even death.
V erify that the installed accessories do not
cause a reduction of the minimum ground clea-
rance and of the inclination and balance of your
motorcycle. Moreover, verify that the installed
accessories do not cause any interference with
the handling of the steering system, with the tra-
vel of the suspensions and/or with the movement
of any other component involved in driving.
B lowing winds, including that cause by pas-
sing large vehicles, can affect the stability of your
motorcycle whether or not it is equipped with
accessories. Improperly selected or installed
accessories increase the risk of instability. It is
therefore necessary to pay great attention in
choosing and installing any accessories.
S ome accessories may force the rider to drive
in an unnatural position. This may obviously
