4.4.3. Head cleaning
If printouts become faint or partially missed, perform head cleaning to clean the surface of the head and the
nozzles.
Follow the steps below to perform head cleaning.
Step 1 : Refer to "Testprinting" to perform nozzle check printing.
Step 2 : Check if the print head, referring to the diagram below.
Notes :

Above each nozzle check a number appears. Use this number to choose the
appropriate cleaning procedure.
Step 3 : Check if the printer is in the normal status.

Step 4 : Press the [F2] key on the operation panel.

Step 5 : Press the [F2] key on the operation panel to change the parameters.

Parameter Description
All Performs the selected cleanings to all heads.
Head 1 Performs the selected cleaning to the nozzle checks indicated with number 1.
Head 2 Performs the selected cleaning to the nozzle checks indicated with number 2.
Head 3 Performs the selected cleaning to the nozzle checks indicated with number 3.
F1
Head 4 Performs the selected cleaning to the nozzle checks indicated with number 4.
Little Little cleaning is performed. Heads fire some ink in capping.
Normal Normal cleaning is performed. A small amount of ink is sucked out of the heads.
A wipe is performed.

Powerfull Powerfull cleaning is performed. A larger amount of ink is sucked out of the
heads. A wipe and a rub are performed.
