The
TCP/IP Properties
window displays. Click the
IP Address
tab to set your workstation’s IP
Address.

In
the
IP Address
dialog box, choose one of the following:

To set a Dynamic IP Address, check
Obtain an IP Address Automatically
. Dynamic
Addresses are used in the Example Reference Guide in
Example 2 – Site B
and
Example 3 – Site B.

To set a Fixed IP Address, check
Specify an IP address
. Fixed Addresses are used in
the Example Reference Guide in all the examples, except the two mentioned above. For
our example, set the address to
192.168.2.x
.
8.
Click
OK
.
9.
You have completed the client settings. Click
OK
to close out of the
Network Control Panel.
10.
Windows will ask you to restart the PC. Click the
Yes
button.
Note:
Repeat these steps for each PC on your network.
