1404 – AL Flap Byp A linkage failure

Cause

Corrective action

The range of rotation on homing
the bypass flap (M52) has violated
the limit. The flap mechanism is
faulty.

1. Check exhaust flap for damage (→ Page 192).
2. Replace the linkage rod if it is damaged (→ Page 192).
3. Contact Service on detecting any other damage at the exhaust

flap.

1406 – AL Flap Dispenser linkage failure

Cause

Corrective action

The range of rotation on homing
the dispenser flap (M55) has
violated the limit. The flap
mechanism is faulty.

1. Check exhaust flap for damage (→ Page 192).
2. Replace the linkage rod if it is damaged (→ Page 192).
3. Contact Service on detecting any other damage at the exhaust

flap.
