Installing the geared motor and chain drive
6.6.1
Tools and equipment
•
Cordless screwdriver with adjustable torque or torque wrench (M12)
•
Spanner/ring spanner
•
Phillips or Torx screwdriver (M6, TX30)
•
Electricians' pliers
•
Tape measure, guideline
•
Small electrical parts (not included: DIN cable lugs, end sleeves)

6.6.2.1
Installing the motor

Geared motor (weight approx. 30 kg)
2 Motor mount
3 Fixings
Place the geared motor (1) on the pre-installed motor mount (2). The motor mount (2) and
gearbox foot mounting must be free of dirt. The gear shaft must be aligned towards the
south.
Attach the gear motor (1) using the fixings (3). Tighten the bolts by hand before ensuring
precise alignment.
Hexagonal bolt M12x50 – ISO 4014
Washer M12, A2 – ISO 7089
Washer M12 – ISO 9021 (large washer under the horizontal slot)
Hexagonal nut M12 – ISO 403.
