MC9190-NI
Keypad
The MC9190-NI has interchangeable modular keypads.

If the MC9190-NI is in suspend mode, press the Power button to wake the device. Wait for the MC9190-NI to
fully awake from suspend mode.
1.
Turn off the MC9190-NI.
2.
Remove the battery.
3.
Take out the screws at the top edge of the keypad.

CAUTION
The keypad may only be changed outside the hazardous area!
It must be ensured that only original keypads are used in safety-oriented operation.
The use of imitation keypads from other manufacturers will render the type of ignition protection
ineffective and there will then be a risk of fire or explosion.
CAUTION
Follow proper ESD precautions to avoid damaging the SD card. Proper ESD precautions
include, but are not limited to, working on an ESD mat and ensuring that the operator is
property grounded.
ATTENTION
Power off the MC9190-NI before start of change parts.
Put the MC9190-NI into suspend mode before you remove the battery. Failure to properly
remove the battery may cause the MC9190-NI to cold boot and potential loss of data.
