Push the keypad in the direction of the arrow until the screw holes on the keypad are positioned over the
threaded holes on the housing.

After installation of the keyboard perform a cold boot.
Secure Device (SD) Card
The SD card slot provides secondary non-volatile storage. The slot is located under the keypad. Refer to the
documentation provided with the card for more information, and follow the manufacturer's recommendations for
use.
Installing a SD Card
To install the micro SD card:
1.
If the MC9190-NI is in standby mode, press the red Power button to activate the device.
2.
Press the red Power button to suspend the MC9190-NI.
3.
Remove the battery
CAUTION
Do not apply more than 0.452 nm or 4 in-lbs of torque when tightening the keypad screws.
CAUTION
The SD card may only installed and replaced outside of the hazardous area.
Only SD cards tested by Zebra for that purpose may be used in the slot.
CAUTION
Follow proper ESD precautions to avoid damaging the SD card. Proper precautions include,
but are not limited to, working on an ESD mat and ensuring that the operator is property
grounded.
