FITTING THE STANCHIONS-SLIDERS
• Install the stanchion “C” with wheel holder slider on
bottom yoke “D” and steering head “E” as well as on
handlebars (V11 Le Mans MY2003, V11 Rosso Cor-
sa and V11 Sport MY2003, only)
• Insert wheel shaft “F” on both sliders to align the holes.
• To make sure that slider “C” is correctly seated onto
steering head and bottom yoke, position it as shown
in the figure.
WARNING
Both fork slider ends shall equally protrude out
of steering head, as shown in the figure.
• Tighten the two screws “B” locking bottom yoke “D”
onto slider “C”
Screws “B” tightening torque: 25 Nm
• Tighten screw “A” locking steering head “E” onto slider
“C”.
Screws “A” tightening torque: 25 Nm
• Tighten handlebars retaining screws to the specified
torque (V11 Le Mans MY2003, V11 Rosso Corsa and
V11 Sport MY2003, only)
• Remove wheel shaft “F”
• Refit front wheel and mudguard.
WARNING
Once the reassembly operations are over, ope-
rate the front brake and pump rod and slider up
and down several times so as to compress the
fork
Fork must run smoothly and progressively and
no oil shall be present on stanchions.
DANGER
Before using the vehicle, check fork correct
setting, as described in sub-sections 9 and 10
of this section.
