Same as California EV 2001, bearing in mind that the
locking pin (1) is not fitted on BBS wheels and that the
nipples indicative tightening torque varies from 4Nm
(minimum load) to 6Nm (maximum load).

TONE
• Remove the wheel as described in chapters 1-2
section F;
• Remove the tire, the inner tube and the nipple covers;
• Determine which wheel spokes (1) need tightening;
• Adjust the concerned spoke tension (1) through the
nipple (2);
- Screw the nipple in to tighten the spoke;
- Unscrew the nipple to loosen the spoke;
The nipples indicative tightening torque is:
- 4.5 Nm for the front wheel
- Rear wheel: 4 Nm for the right-hand side
nipples, 6 Nm for the left-hand side nipples;
• Repeat the same operation for all spokes in sequence
order;
• After adjusting the wheel spokes tension, check wheel
rim axial and radial play, as described in chapter 3
section F.
DANGER
Do not adjust the wheel spokes tension with the
tire fitted on the rim because it might break the
nipple covers and cause a puncture in the inner
tube.
