i) Press the button (fig.12 item 10). The green indicator light will turn
on and steam will be emitted into the chamber for a few seconds.
j) To extract the carriage from the oven, set the stop rotating carriage
switch (Fig.12 item 15) to OFF.
Wait until the carriage stops, then open the door and extract the
carriage using the handle provided.
k) To turn the oven off, merely turn the main switch

(fig.12 item 1)

to OFF.
i) If the door is opened while the oven is working, it will immediately

4.1.1

DISCHARGING VAPOUR

Discharge of the vapours that form inside the baking chamber is
enabled using the ball knob on the front right hand side of the oven.
With the ball knob pulled out the vent is open, and if the suction
device is left turned off the vapour from the baking chamber will be
discharged by natural convection.  When the ball knob is pushed
towards the oven the vent is closed (Fig.13 item L).
For forced extraction of vapour from under the hood or from the
interior of the baking chamber, press the vapour extraction button
(Vapour 1) (Fig.13 item M) and position the ball knob as required.
To enable automatic forced extraction of vapour from under the hood
or from the interior of the baking chamber when the door is open
(Fig.13 item N – pos. X: door open) press the vapour extraction
button (Vapour 2) (Fig.13 item N).

4.2

STOPPING

- Turn the rotating carriage stop switch (Fig.12 item 15) to OFF.
- Turn the main oven on/off switches (fig.12 item 1) to OFF.
- Disconnect the power supply.
- Turn off the gas tap.
- Turn off the water tap.

4.3

HINTS FOR USERS

WARNING!
Never block off the aeration vents in the room housing the gas
oven, to avoid any risk of potentially dangerous situations such
as the formation of toxic or explosive mixtures of gas and air;
The oven is fitted with a chimney extractor safety thermostat,
which will trigger if combustion fumes are liable to return into
the room.  Before resetting, check and eliminate the cause of the
problem, by inspecting all the ducts channelling fumes from the
appliance to the exterior.  Once this has been done, the appliance
can be restored to normal service. To restore the thermostat to
normal operation, first carry out the operations described under
point 6.1, then press the thermostat button (Fig.10 Ref. X). This
device must never be disabled. If combustion fumes are returned
to the environment they can cause chronic or acute intoxication,
which may be life-threatening. If the thermostat has to be
replaced, always ensure that original spare parts are used.  If the
device triggers repeatedly, please contact a specialist technician.

IF YOU SMELL GAS:

A.   Do not activate electric switches or anything else that might

cause a spark;

B.   Immediately open doors and windows to create a current of air

that will clear the room;

C.   Turn the gas supply tap off;
D.   Call a qualified technician;

5

ORDINARY MAINTENANCE

5.1

PRELIMINARY SAFETY OPERATIONS

WARNING! Before performing any maintenance operation,
disconnect the gas supply by closing the main tap and disconnect
the power supply by turning off the switches fitted on the outside
of the oven and wait for the appliance to cool to room
temperature.
Always use suitable protective equipment (gloves, eyewear... ).
All precautions are of importance to ensure that the oven
remains in a good state, and failure to observe them may result
in serious damage which will not be covered by the warranty.

5.2

ROUTINE CLEANING

After carrying out the operations described in point 5.1 above, clean
the appliance as follows:
Clean the outside parts of the oven every day using a dry cloth (See
fig.15).
Every day at the end of operations, after leaving the appliance to cool
down, carefully remove from all parts of the oven any waste that may
have collected during cooking, using a damp sponge or cloth and a
little soapy water if necessary, then rinse and dry.
Carefully clean all accessible parts.

WARNING! Every day, carefully clean off any fat or grease that
may have dripped during cooking as this is a potential fire
hazard.

WARNING! Never clean the oven with direct jets of water or
with jets of water under pressure. Always take care to ensure
that the water or other products use does not come into contact
with electrical parts.

The use of toxic or harmful detergents is strictly prohibited.
NOTE! Do not clean the tempered glass on the doors when it is
still hot.
Do not use solvents, detergents containing aggressive substances
(chlorides, acids, corrosives, abrasives, etc. …) or equipment that
could damage surfaces.  Before starting up the appliance again,
make sure that none of the cleaning equipment has been left
inside.
WARNING! When special cleaning operations requiring the
oven to be moved have to be carried out, the following operations
must be performed by specialised personnel: disconnect the
exhaust pipe, the gas and electric power supply, remove the oven
positioning brackets, then commence cleaning operations; carry
out the above operations in reverse order to restore the machine
to normal operation.
WARNING! Periodically (at least once a year), and every time
operating malfunctions occur, the appliance must be checked by
a specialist technician who must check the general state of the
appliance, and in particular the state of the burner. In the
presence of any type of irregularity the burner must be replaced
immediately.
When any maintenance operations are carried out on the gas
circuit, use LOCTITE 577 as a sealing agent

5.3

PERIODS OF INACTIVITY

If the appliance is not to be used for long periods:
- Disconnect it from the power supply.
- Turn the gas supply off.
- Cover it to protect it from dust.
- Ventilate the rooms periodically.
- Clean the appliance before using it again.
