7.
Slowly rotate the shaft manually.
ð
The rotary leadthrough must not have
more rotation resistance as a grease-
filled ball bearings of similar dimen-
sion.
If hard spots occur, the cartridge ele-
ments are tensioned and must be
installed anew.
8.
After the installation a leakage measure-
ment must be done.
ð
The measured value must be, during
the same media conditions (viscosity,
temperature), smaller than the double
value of the test record.
The device must not be put in
operation if the leakage rate is
higher.
6.4.4.2
Bracing tightening torque
The operational torques (see test report) are trans-
mitted using the sealing rings on the modification
parts.
During longer operation with minimum
speed and high accelerations install a
driving system.
The driving system consists of a drive pin in
the feedthrough, which engages in a fitting
hole of a co-rotating part or of a driving ring.
6.4.4.3
Connecting media
1.
Connected the supply of the transmission
medium radially through the housing part.
2.
Connected the discharge of the transmis-
sion medium radially through the housing
part.
6.4.4.4
Connecting the leak connection
The device must be connected to a leakage line.
1.
Ensure that leakage borings, leakage lines
and ring lines record the leakage rate (see
test log).
2.
The leakage line must be connected from
below.
3.
Lay the leak line with a downward slope so
that the transfer medium can drain off
without backlogs.
