Contrast / Resolution
Description
Display
Place the document in the document feeder.
STD
NORMAL
To change the quality of the transmission press the [CONTRAST / HALF
TONE] and [RESOLUTION] keys.
You can program the machine to keep the new setting automatically
(factory-setting) or to change back to the basic setting after the
transmission.
(Cf. chapter "Entering Data", section "Programming User Software
Switches", switch No. 27 and 28.)
[CONTRAST / HALF TONE]
allows three adjustments:
N
ORMAL
The document is transmitted as normal print.
LIGHT
Documents that are too light are transmitted darker.
G
REY SCALE
To transmit originals with many grey tones, e.g. photos.
If you select grey scale, the resolution is automatically
set to fine.

RESOLUTION
]
allows three adjustments

RML
This is the normal resolution for a document with normal
print and standard size. E.g. type-written text. (3.85
lines/mm)
F
INE
This is the resolution for small print.
E.g. newspaper articles (7.7 lines/mm)

UPER
This is the finest resolution (15.4 lines/mm)
