INSTALLATION SITE AND TRANSPORT
2.
Installation site
2.1.
The installer has full responsibility for the environmental conditions of the product. In particular, he will
have to install fire-fighting measures, to protect the installation against shocks, to guarantee the
accessibility of the installation, to protect the installation against floods and earthquakes. The construction
of buildings and civil engineering or earthmoving infrastructure is the responsibility of the owner. External
environment difficulties (snow, wind, earthquake,...) will have to be taken into account.
In accordance with Directive 1999/92/EC, the operator must determine the hazardous areas of his
installation and choose the equipment to be installed accordingly.
The prohibition of smoking or approaching a flame must be clearly indicated on regulatory panels installed
in a perimeter of 5 meters around the installation.
The vacuum pump must be installed in a well-ventilated room, free from dust and frost.
The ambient temperature must be b5°C and +40°C.
For temperatures outside this range, please contact us.
Ensure that the pump is not installed near heat radiation devices or pipes
If the vacuum pump is to be incorporated in machinery assemblies, ensure that ventilation is
adequate.
The vacuum pump will only operate correctly on a horizontal surface capable of supporting
the total mass of the pump and its accessories. Operation on an inclined surface may cause
damage to the pump. In addition, the oil level reading may be incorrect. Make sure to install
the pump so that the nameplate, gas ballast and oil light (s) are visible and accessible.
Above 1000 meters of altitude, vacuum pump performance is impaired (flow rate, final pressure).
Consult us.
Pump reception
2.1.1.
Before installation, check the pump at reception and check the following points:
Shock or deformation of the protective cover
General condition of the pump
Possible leaks
Mounting brackets
Compliance.

Long-term shutdown
2.3.
If the vacuum pump is to remain out of service for a fairly long period of time (more than 3 months) or is
not going to be put into service until a later date, empty the pump, fill it with rust-inhibiting oil, run it for 10
minutes then drain off the rust-inhibiting oil. Blank the openings with adhesive tape; close the gas ballast,
store the pump in a dry place. The pump must not be stored in a place that is damp and/or subject to large
temperature variations.
