4.2.2. General operating procedure
1. Switch off the PC and disconnect the power supply.
2. Remove all the optional parts from the Unit and clean them following the routine laboratories procedures.
3. Remove the ink tray and the wash basin cover and clean them with polyphenol-based detergents by using
instruments not abrasives. Rinse with water and dry with paper or a clean cloth.
4. Clean the working table of eGROSS/eGROSS pro-x:
•
Spray the decontaminant and leave it in action for 30 minutes (please check the label for timing).
•
Clean with wet paper.
•
Clean with alcohol and dry with a cloth or with paper.
•
Pass with wet paper and dry with paper.
Clean all filters (in the wash basin, under the work surface, the removable net and the funnel) daily, removing
the pieces that might obstruct the passage. Use running water and, if necessary, also a brush with nylon
bristles.
5. Final steps:
•
Reposition the tray and the basin cover on eGROSS/eGROSS pro-x.
•
Before removing gloves, wash them with soap, water and disinfectant.
•
Wash your hands.
•
Remove the individual protection devices.
•
Make sure the contaminated material is packed and disposed in an approved incinerator in compliance
with all federal, provincial and local government regulations.
This general procedure is valid for all the Unit except for: keyboard, mouse, foot-pedal,
touch pen, PC and camera which are described in the following chapters.
Perform the procedure at least once a day.
Decontaminate and clean the plastic parts with 70% alcohol.
Clean the stainless steel parts with alcohol.
Decontaminate the stainless steel parts with polyphenol-based detergents.
Clean the remaining parts with alcohol.
Use polyphenol-based detergents to disinfect the remaining parts.
If case of use of different decontaminate agents (than those indicated), contact the supplier
of the product for compatibility with the materials.
