Cleaning and care

Do not let water get into the
electronic unit or the lighting.
Steam from a steam cleaning ap-
pliance could reach the electrical
components and cause a short cir-
cuit.
Do not use a steam cleaning appli-
ance to clean the appliance.
Cleaning water must not get into the
drain hole.
The data plate located inside the ap-
pliance must not be removed. It con-
tains information which is required in
the event of a service call.
Cleaning agents
The stainless steel appliance doors
have a special coating that is resistant
to dirt.
Do not use Miele stainless
steel conditioning agent
on these
surfaces, as this will cause visible
streaks.
Cleaning and conditioning agents
used inside the appliance must be
food safe.
To avoid damaging the surfaces of the
appliance,
do not use the following:
– Cleaning agents containing soda,
ammonia, acids or chlorides,
– Cleaning agents containing descaling
agents,
– Abrasive cleaning agents (e.g. scour-
ing powder, scouring liquid, or
pumice stones),
– Solvent-based cleaning agents,
– Stainless steel cleaning agents,
– Dishwasher cleaner,
– Oven sprays,
– Glass cleaning agents,
– Hard, abrasive sponges and brushes
(e.g. pot scourers),
– Eraser stain remover blocks,
– Sharp metal scrapers.
To clean the stainless steel surfaces
on the appliance we recommend us-
ing the original Miele conditional agent
for stainless steel (see “Optional ac-
cessories”).
Unlike stainless steel cleaning agents,
the conditioning agent does not con-
tain any abrasive substances and will
gently remove soiling. Each time it is
used, it forms a water and dirt repel-
lent protective coating.
We recommend using lukewarm water
with a little washing-up liquid to clean
surfaces of the appliance.
