Switching off the whole appli-
ance
Touch the right-hand
On/Off con-
trol until all of the indicators go out.
If this is does not happen, the safety
lock is still activated (see "Selecting fur-
ther settings - Activating and deactivat-
ing the safety lock). The refrigerator
section interior lighting will go out and
the cooling process will be switched off.
Switching off the refrigerator section
separately
The refrigerator section can be
switched off without having to switch
off the freezer section. The freezer sec-
tion cannot be turned off separately.
Touch the left-hand
On/Off control
until the temperature display for the
refrigerator section goes off.
If this is does not happen, the safety
lock is still activated (see "Selecting fur-
ther settings - Activating and deactivat-
ing the safety lock).
The refrigerator section is switched off.
The temperature in the freezer section
will still be shown in the display. The re-
frigerator section interior lighting will go
out.
Switching the refrigerator section on
separately (if previously switched off)
Touch the left-hand On/Off control
to switch on the refrigerator section.
The refrigerator section will be switched
on and will start to cool down. It will
reach the set temperature. The interior
lighting will come on when the refriger-
ator section door is opened.
Switching off for longer peri-
ods of time
If, during a long absence, the ap-
pliance is switched off but not
cleaned and the door is left shut,
there is a danger of mould building
up inside the appliance.
It is essential to clean the appliance.
If the appliance is not going to be used
for a longer period of time, e.g. whilst
on holiday:
switch the appliance off,
switch off at the wall and withdraw
the plug from the socket, or discon-
nect the fuse,
clean the appliance and
leave the door(s) ajar to air the appli-
ance and avoid odours building up in-
side the appliance.
It is also advisable to carry out the last
two instructions if you are switching
the refrigerator section off for a longer
period of time.
