Notes on using the baking
charts
In the charts the recommended function
is printed in bold.
Temperature
As a general rule, select the lower
temperature given in the chart.
Baking at temperatures higher than
those recommended may reduce the
cooking time, but will lead to uneven
browning, and unsatisfactory cooking
results.
Duration
Check if the food is cooked at the end
of the shortest time quoted. To check if
a cake is ready, insert a wooden skewer
into the centre. It is ready if the skewer
comes out clean, without dough or
crumbs sticking to it.
Shelf level
The shelf level on which you place your
food depends on the function selected
and the number of trays.
–
Fan plus
1 tray: shelf level 2
2 trays: shelf levels 1+3/2+4
3 trays: shelf levels 1+3+5
For moist biscuits and cakes, bake
on a maximum of two shelf levels at
once.
–
Moisture plus
1 tray: shelf level 2
–
Intensive bake
1 tray: shelf level 1 or 2
–
Conventional heat
1 tray: shelf level 2 or 3
