The transfer charger must be at the “down” position for removal. If it is
not at the “down” position, use a slotted screwdriver to turn the transfer
elevator drive shaft counterclockwise to set the transfer charger at the
down position. Loosen the thumbscrew and pull the transfer charger out
then replace with a new one.
