You can use the private client to connect to NVR, but it is not installed everywhere. So using web browser is one way to
see the monitoring video from NVR where the private client is not installed.
Internet explorer, the web browser asks downloading ActiveX when the user is connected to NVR through web. The
screen of NVR can be seen on a web page by clicking connection button after downloading ActiveX.
Web client of MJPEG mode will be executed in other browsers, not ActiveX mode.

Web Browser URL
•
This item is an address which should be entered on the address bar of web browser to connect to NVR on the outside.

Web Port
•
This item is a port number to get WWW service. It is 80 usually, the port number can be omitted from address in this
case. But it cannot be omitted when it is not 80.

The address in Web Browser will be changed after changing the web port configuration.

All connections will be permitted in general when the web port have to be changed. But there can exist
special case or the connection from port 80 can be prohibited to limit web service in by ISP. Web
service can be provided by using other port number in this case.

Forced Web Address
•
This item forces the address of the web server. It is used to permit connection when the address of NVR and the
address for the connection are different.
Dynamic DNS
This item enables dynamic DNS function. The client can connect to the NVR server by using the same domain name
when the address of NVR in DHCP is changed.

Operation Method of Dynamic DNS
•
Dynamic DNS works in following method.
•
Operation in NVR : NVR sends the DDNS name and the changed IP address to the DDNS server
whenever the address changes. The DNS server updates its address with the retrieved information.
•
Connection from client : The DDNS name will be converted to IP address of the DDNS server when a
client tries to connect to the server. So the client can connect to the NVR server through the DDNS
name regardless of time and place.

Enable this function
•
This item enables or disables dynamic DNS function.
•
Update now
•
This button is activated when EDNS server is selected. The update request will be sent to the EDNS server with the
current information by clicking the button.
•
Domain Name
•
This item enters the domain name which is registered in the dynamic DNS server. The client can connect to this device
with the domain name outside. But the host name should contain the domain name which is registered in
www.dyndns.org when www.dyndns.org is selected.
•
User
•
This item is mandatory when www.dyndns.org is selected. But it cannot be entered when the EDNS server is selected.
It should be the same with the user ID of www.dyndns.org.
•
Password
•
This item is mandatory when www.dyndns.org is selected. But it cannot be entered when EDNS server is selected. It
should be the same with the password of www.dyndns.org.

Server
•
This item selects the dynamic DNS server. www.dyndns.org and EDNS are supported. Registration is required when
www.dyndns.org is selected. Registration is not required when EDNS is selected.
