2 Dismantle suppressor
x
Unscrew nut 102 102 102 102 from suppressor holder 105 105 105 105 .

Pull out connection piece 103 103 103 103 and suppressor rotor 104 104 104 104 from
suppressor holder 105 105 105 105 (the connection piece and the rotor
normally stick together).
x

3 Clean input and output leads
x
Connect each of the 6 capillary tubings attached to connec-
tion piece

to the high-pressure pump one after another,
and pump through ultrapure water.
x
Check whether solution emerges from connection piece 103 103 103 103 .
If one of the input or output leads remains blocked, replace
the connection piece 103 103 103 103 (order number 6.2832.010).
4 Clean suppressor rotor
x
Clean the sealing surface of suppressor rotor 104 104 104 104 using a
lint-free cloth and ethanol.
5 Insert suppressor rotor
x
Insert suppressor rotor 104 104 104 104 in suppressor holder 105 105 105 105 in such
a way that the tubing connections at the rear of the rotor fit in
the corresponding openings inside the rotor, and that one of
the three holes in the rotor can be seen from below in one of
the openings of the holder.
x
If the rotor has been inserted correctly, its sealing surface will
be about 4 mm inside the holder. If this is not the case, bring
the rotor into the correct position from below with the aid of a
sharp object (e.g. a screwdriver).
6 Clean connection piece
x
Clean the sealing surface of connection piece 103 103 103 103 using a
lint-free cloth and ethanol.
7 Insert connection piece

in suppressor holder

in such
a way that connection "1" is at the top, and that the three lugs
on the connection piece fit in the corresponding openings of
the holder.
x
Screw nut 102 102 102 102 onto the thread of suppressor holder 105 105 105 105
manually (do not use tools).
8 Connect and condition the suppressor
x
Reconnect the suppressor to the IC system.
x
Before switching the suppressor to the next position for the
first time, rinse all 3 suppressor units with solution for 5 min.
