4.4.2 Nozzle Re-Assembly
Still referring to DIAG 1 Use the procedure below to re-assemble the Nozzle:

Fit the correct
‘O’ Rings
(K & L) and fit the Front Wire Guide (I), steel insert first, into
the back of the Gas Head (F) and re-fit the Gas Head to the Drive Box using the Gas
Head Fixing Screws (J) .

Take the Mixing Block (H) and attach
the 5 ‘O’ Rings from ‘O’ Ring Set
(P) , specific to
the Mixing block. Three into the grooves on the bottom, and two on the shoulders of
the Mixing Block on the top.
DIAG 2 demonstrates this.

Fit the Screwed Insert (O)
and ‘O’ Ring specific to the Screwed Insert, into the Nozzle
Shell (G) . DIAG 3 demonstrates how the Screwed
Insert and ‘O’ Ring should be
inserted into the Nozzle Shell.

Slide the skirt of the Nozzle Shell (G) over the mixing block shoulder and pass the two
components as a unit, along the extended portion of the Front Wire Guide (I) .

Apply a light smear of grease to the Air Cover thread and lock the Nozzle Shell (G)
and Mixing Block (H) in place with the Air Cover (E) . Tighten firmly by hand.
NB
: If threads bind during assembly DO NOT force the Air Cover. Instead
remove, clean Air Cover and Gas Head, apply grease and re-try.

Slide the Air Nipple (C) onto the shoulder of the Nozzle Shell (G) . Fit the Flexible
Spacing Washer (D) and secure with the Lock Ring (B) and Fibre Washer (L) .

Fit two
‘O’ Rings
(M) into the groove path in the Spreader Air Cover (E) followed by
two Cork Seals (N) in either pair of opposing recesses. DIAG 4a shows this. NOTE:
The Spreader Air Cover shown in DIAG 4a is for a Nozzle Assembly that includes a
Spreader Attachment. DIAG 4b shows an Air Cover for a Nozzle Assembly that does
not include a Spreader Attachment.

After applying a thin film of grease, slide the Spreader Ring (A)
over the two ‘O’ Rings
(M) and up to the Air Cover (E) shoulder.
