The system limitations for Parking Assist
PARKTRONIC apply for passive side impact pro‐
tection.
The following objects are not detected, for exam‐
ple:

the side

Objects placed next to the vehicle

at close range
Parking Assist PARKTRONIC may not detect
certain objects at close range.

When parking or manoeuvring the vehi‐
cle, pay particular attention to any
objects which are above or below the
sensors, e.g. flowerpots or drawbars.
The vehicle or other objects could oth‐
erwise be damaged.
