Bring seat backrest to upright
position before recalling a stored
s e a t/h e a d re s tra in t/s te e rin g
w h e e l/e x te rio r and inside rear
view m irror position, otherw ise the
front seats could get forced
against a rear seat and be
dam aged.
Prior to ope ra ting the vehicle,
the d river should a d ju st the seat
height for p roper vision as w ell as
fo re /a ft pla cem e nt and seat back
angle to insure adequate control,
reach, operation, and com fort. The
head restraint should also be
adjusted for p roper height.
Both the insid e and outsid e rear
view m irrors should be adjusted
for adequate rearw ard vision.
Fasten seat belts. Infants and
sm all ch ild re n should be seated in
a p ro pe rly secured restraint
system that c o m p lie s with U.S.
Federal M otor V ehicle Safety
S tandard 213 and C anadian M otor
V ehicle Safety S tandard 213.1.
All seat, head restraint, and rear
view m irror a djustm e nts as well as
fastening of seat belts should be
done before the ve hicle is put into
m otion.
