WHEELCHAIR OPERATING TRAINING
Master operating of the wheelchair and making all manoeuvres in order to safely move in the
wheelchair.
At first learn how to move forward. Make sure that the minimum speed has been set.
When you will master moving straight forward, try to move in the shape of the letter S.
Then you can begin training how to move backwards. Regardless of the programmed speed when
moving forward, when moving backwards, the wheelchairs will always move slower.
NOTES
When in supine position, move only inside the room, on short distances. When the seat is lifted, the
maximal speed will automatically be reduced by half.
Do not move perpendicularly to the steep slopes.
Do not take passengers.
Do not use trailers.
Do not allow children operate the wheelchair without supervision.
Never deactivate the control panel when driving, as this will make the wheelchair stop suddenly, and this
can cause an injury.
Do not move the wheelchair when intoxicated or under the influence of psychoactive substances.
Consult your doctor and ask if medicines you are taking don't pose an influence on your ability to operate
mechanical vehicles.
