01 Description
570GT features a unique dynamic setup to reflect its
positioning whilst still retaining the class leading
engagement seen on Coupé. 570GT is the most road
biased model yet from McLaren.
02 Customer Benefits
While all McLaren’s have been praised for their excellent
refine and ride quality, 570GT takes things further allowing
for cross-continent trips to be dispatched with ease and
with minimum fatigue to the driver.
570GT retains the eletro-hyrdraulic steering for maximum
feel but the ratio is slower (by 2%) to smooth out driver
inputs at high cruising speeds. Spring rates and dampers
are also unique for 570GT. Front and rear spring rates have
been reduced by (15%) and (10%) respectively while the
damper calibration also enhances ride quality over poor
road surfaces for occupants.
THE DRIVE
The feeling of stability is immediately evident in 570GT. The
elongated rear spoiler adds downforce at speed while the roll centre
has moved forward (effectively making the car feel like it has a
longer wheelbase). Finally, noise levels in the cabin have been
reduced based on expected usage of 570GT and the differing
customer requirements. This has been achieved by carefully chosen
Touring Deck and bulkhead noise insulation material.
Despite the changes, 570GT retains the ability to transform the feel
of the car due to the standard adaptive dampers. Switching to Sport
and Track modes still allow for an incredibly dynamic experience
that has received five star awards for 570S.
