Enter a Deployment
To enter a Sediment Trap deployment, complete the following steps. Use the file capture utility
available in McLaneTerm to log this information.
1. Power on the computer and start McLaneTerm terminal emulation.
2. Remove the dummy plug from the communications connector on the end cap and
connect the communications cable to the computer.
3. Connect the communications cable to the computer serial port and connect the
battery (see Chapter 2 ‘Connecting the Battery and COM cable).
4. After the firmware powers on, select Main Menu option <6> ‘Deploy System’.
5. If prompted, confirm the post-deployment reboot. This warning displays if the
power has not been cycled since the last deployment.
