Orienting End Cap for Optional Tilt
The Tilt option is a separate sensor board on the Sediment Trap electronics stack. This optional
feature records a time history of tilt magnitude and direction and can be used to adjust sample data
during analysis. If you do not have this option installed, skip to section 4.6.
The Sediment Trap ships with the compass calibrated. Follow these steps only if you have removed
the controller housing.

Controller housing orientation is critical if the tilt sensor is installed. Contact
mclane@mclanelabs.com if you are not sure whether or not your Sediment Trap
has this optional feature.
