Torque Limiter

 

 

Cleaning -

 If, under normal loading, the torque limiter begins to slip, 

immediately stop and 

lockout the conveyor.

 Check the sprockets and friction faces to ensure they are free of oil, 

grease, moisture, or rust. Clean and adjust if necessary and return to service. 

Note:

 Please refer to the specific 

safety instructions

 on Page 9 when checking the torque limiter. 

 

Replacement -

 After continued slipping, it is possible that there is sufficient wear to warrant 

part replacement. Install new friction discs, tension correctly, and then run the conveyor. 

Note:

 Please refer to the torque limiter manufacturer’s information sheet in the Appendix of this
