The Static Routing Table allows you to configure up to 5 entries. Each entry is stored against an Index
number.
For each entry, you must configure the following fields:
•
Destination Address:
This is the address of the final destination where the call is to be made. This
can be a device IP Address or Network Address.

Subnet Mask
: This is the mask to be applied on destination address.
•
Gateway Address
: This is the IP address of the node where the IP packets are to be sent. Generally,
it is the IP address of the LAN interface of the Router (to which SETU ATA211 is connected).
The Gateway Address must be in the same subnet as SETU ATA211.

For example, the Static Routing Table of the SETU ATA211 at Location A, will be as shown below.
Here, the Destination Address 192.168.2.0 specifies the network address of Location B.
The Subnet Mask is the mask to be applied on Destination address.
The Gateway Address 192.168.1.1 specifies the LAN address of the Router used to connect SETU
ATA211 at Location A with SETU ATA211 at Location B.
Now, the IP address of LAN interface of the Router which connects Location A to the Public Internet
should be configured as the ‘Default Gateway’ in the Network parameters.
With the Static Routing Table configured as shown above, packets sent by SETU ATA211 to
192.168.2.0/24 will be routed to the router which connects Location A to location B. Whereas, all
packets sent to an address other than 192.168.2.0/24 will be routed to the Default Gateway.
