Flightcases 

MLA Systems are designed to be a complete package including everything that is required for a touring system including high 

quality rugged touring grade flightcases to transport and protect all parts of the system 

Merlin & Distro Rack 

Mk1 High Voltage Rack Case 

The Mk1 case is a 16U 19"rack case. It is a floating design with the 16U 19"rack as a separate timber assembly floating in high 

density Etherfoam within the flightcase. The 19"rack has pressed steel rack extrusion with a return mounted front and rear in 

the case. The front lid is held in place with four side-mounted butterfly catches, the rear is closed. There are two flip handles on 

the side to ease handling. The flightcase moves on a wheelboard with four 4"“blue wheel"casters, the front pair are braked types. 

The flightcase is fabricated from laminated ply with a distinctive black textured laminate. All aluminium extrusions and steel 

fittings; butterfly catches, handles and ball corners are finished in black. The case is silk screened with the MLA Logo in white. 

Mk2 High Voltage Rack Case 

 

Although access to the rear of the rack is needed very infrequently, to make this easier a rear access panel was fitted hinged at 

the side with two slam latches to open. In all other respects the Mk2 is identical
