4. Grease all transfer drive shaft flanged bearings and
rear output flanged bearings with two pumps of
grease each. Rotate or remove guards to access the
grease zerks.
NOTE:
Replace any worn or damaged bearings.
IMPORTANT:
When replacing bearings always ensure that the set
screws on all bearings are aligned/timed one to another.
Not aligning set screws creates an imbalance in the
driveshaft and can cause vibrations. See Fig. 54

Check oil in both upper and lower gearboxes.
a. Ensure gearboxes are level.
b. Remove plug.
c. Insert finger to feel oil. (The oil should be
approximately 1” beneath the oil plug hole)
d. If you cannot feel oil add until oil reaches
approximately 1” underneath the oil plug hole.
See section 4.1.3 for oil requirements.

Remove any debris. Clean and wash machine.

Grease Rear Axle Pivot Pin with 10-15 pumps of
grease.
