3.6 STARTING WITH COLD ENGINE
To start the scooter with cold engine, do not use the twist
grip throttle control (for the first attempts). The engine is
provided with an automatic choke which, during the first
minutes will run the engine at a higher rpm. Do not sit on the
scooter when it is parked on the stand.
1) Turn the ignition key clockwise to position (Fig. 20).
2) Close the twist grip throttle completely.
3) Pull one of the two brake levers while pressing the starter
button, or while using the kicklever if the battery is flat.
To ensure long engine life, never accelerate hard when
the engine is cold.

position
Note : If the engine does not start, release the starter
button, wait for some seconds and then press it again.
Do not press the starter for more than 10 seconds
each attempt, otherwise the battery will discharge.
3.7 MOVING OFF
• Warm up the engine for some seconds, before moving off (with
the scooter on the centre stand).
• With both your hands on the handlebar (do not sit on the vehicle),
keep the rear brake lever (left lever) engaged and at the same
time push the motorbyke forward till the centre stand retracts it
must retract completely and automatically. If the side stand is
fitted, check it is retracted too before starting your run.
• Sit on the scooter from the left side. We advise the following
position while you are stationary: engine started, both your hands
on the handlebar, left lever engaged, your right foot on the footrest,
your left foot on the ground.
• Check that the rear-view mirrors are correctly positioned.
• Keep the rear brake lever engaged until you start your run.
• Release the rear brake and turn the twist grip throttle control
gently.
• Look out for oncoming traffic, switch the indicator light on and
move off.
Never accelerate while the brakes are engaged.
